Update at nine months

Time is going way too fast over here! We finally got the gates up for our little crawler, but that doesn't mean she isn't falling and bumping her head all over the place as she starts standing and moving along the furniture. Simona's got four teeth already, and is eating more big kid foods, but isn't really into feeding herself yet. She is still quite the leisurely nurser, which is okay by us. She has started falling asleep on her own - we can just put her in the crib and she'll roll over and settle down. It amazes us every time (3?) that it happens, especially after the hourly wakings a week or so ago when she (then we) had a cold. I think we are getting closer to her sleeping through the night but we've got a ways to go. Her babbling is ever so slightly starting to make sense...nanana for nursing (sometimes mamama but I could be making that up). All of her talk is like that: bababa, dadada, etc. She gets really excited by the sounds she can make, it's a bit of a spiral effect as she really gets worked up and then falls or something. Simona's new favorite hobby is unfolding laundry. Instead of hitting her books (out of love, I'm sure) she can now turn the pages, which is so fascinating to her. There is some sort of weird parent gene that makes us able to watch her do this and other little nothings over and over and over, beaming with pride. So, yea, eat sleep play...that's how it is here.
